Agentic6G Project Kick-Off in Bucharest!

The future of connectivity will be intelligent, autonomous, and AI-native and Agentic6G is helping make that vision a reality.
On 13–14 May 2026, the Agentic6G consortium officially launched the project during its Kick-off Meeting in Bucharest, Romania, hosted by Orange Romania. Bringing together nine leading organisations from academia, research, and industry, the meeting marked the beginning of a 36-month European collaboration dedicated to advancing the next generation of Beyond-5G and 6G networks.
Laying the Foundations
The Kick-off Meeting brought together all consortium partners to establish a common vision and align on the project’s scientific, technical, and organisational objectives.
Over two productive days, partners discussed the overall system architecture, innovative use cases, proof-of-concepts, technical roadmap, project management, dissemination activities, and the first implementation milestones. These discussions laid the foundations for a collaborative journey towards delivering the project’s ambitious objectives.
Transforming the Future of 6G
Agentic6G aims to revolutionise the management of future communication networks through an Autonomous Multi-Agent Agentic AI System capable of intelligent reasoning, distributed decision-making, and continuous adaptation across the Device–Edge–Cloud continuum.
At the heart of the project lies the AgenticOps paradigm, introducing advanced self-organising capabilities such as autonomous agent generation, self-healing, self-protection, and adaptive scaling. By combining expertise in artificial intelligence, telecommunications, cybersecurity, and software engineering, the consortium will develop innovative solutions that contribute to secure, resilient, trustworthy, and scalable AI-native 6G ecosystems.
